Skipping a test?

I’m not ready for AP Euro and since it’s not required for a class or anything, can I just skip it? Will that show up as a 0 on my AP transcript?

I know you can cancel a score after you take an AP test, so if you just didn’t show up I don’t think anything would happen… not sure though.

You would also have to pay for the exam you missed.

There is a thread here somewhere with FAQs but I copied this in to a personal file for my own reference.

Q. How do I cancel scores or withhold scores? Can I hide scores?
A. Hiding your scores (from colleges) on the AP exam is called “withholding” and requires a fee of $10. You will be able to see what you got on the exam, however, in your private score report and your school report. If you cancel your scores, you will not be able to see what you scored on the exam - although there is no charge for the service. If you wish to use either of these services, fax a copy of your written, signed request to AP Services, P.O. Box 6671, Princeton, NJ 08541-6671 by June 15.

Why don’t you just cancel the score?

I’d have to miss the afternoon for the test, and I know absolutely that I wouldn’t be able to get above a 3. Since I’m missing a lot of school for my other AP/IB tests and for Intel ISEF, I thought it’d just be better to not show up on the day of the exam. I’m just worried that doing so would cause me to get a 0 or something…
