Skipping course pre-reqs

I’m about to take some courses at a CC, so I checked their catalogue and I saw that in order to take some Bio and Math classes I have to take tons for pre- whatever courses as pre-reqs. Is there any way I can skip these classes? I don’t want to go through 4 Math courses just to be able to take Calculus, because I already went through those before.

placement tests

or AP credits

Talk to the professor and/or the departmental office. If you can show that you have the knowledge represented by the pre-reqs, they are likely to let you into the class. This might involve taking a test, or providing documentation that you’ve taken the subject elsewhere.

Thanks for the replies!

The CC may have its own placement exam as well. Stop by the admissions office and talk with the advisors there about your specific options.

I’ll do that, thank you :)

take placement test remember do not sign up for the class until you take the placement test.
