Just go to prom. You’ll regret it when you see your kids going to prom and you realize you didn’t get to go to yours.

All you seniors really need to take a day off from studying and enjoy life. Go to Prom!

What is this prom of which you speak?

I say go to prom, I mean sure you cna learn a lot in like 4 hours, but just let out some stress
I might skip prom to study as well, but more than likely I’ll be going. I’m class prez, and my class is planning prom, so people are asking me to make decisions for it. So looks like I need to find a date :D

Holy moly folks! Care to read my posts? I AM NOT STUDYING FOR AP EXAMS DURING PROM.
A solid 2-3 days’ sleep is needed before any huge exam(s) to prevent sleep deprivation.
I don’t dance…“dance” like a hooker. I don’t have a group of friends to go with [both of my closest friends are in university]. Though it’s fun to look amazing for a night, I spend 3 hours trying to stand around and not look awkward. I don’t have a date, and sure, that contributes some to it, but otherwise it’s been my perogative in not going.
Highschool was not the best time of my life. I was not popular, I was moderately happy. Prom is just one of the same family in these experiences.
And good luck on finding a date big dreamer! :)

^ So are you in HS or College right now? o.o

If you don’t want to go don’t go. Prom is only significant if you care about it. You obviously don’t so it’ll be a forgettable night. Who knows what dreams you might have if you stay home and sleep.

Go, obviously. You don’t need a date, you need a group. But perfectly sociable people have skipped prom at my school too, so I guess it’s up to you. I just think you’ll feel kind of lame if you skip it. (And my prom’s before AP exams too.)

Wait, so you don’t want to go to Prom at all? Then what’s the big deal? It seems to me that you wouldn’t go to prom even if it wasn’t anywhere near the same time as your AP exams. If that’s the case, you might as well follow your original plan (getting a good night’s sleep) since it’s a lot more sensible than going to an event that you won’t enjoy. I thought that you were genuinely torn between going to prom or making sure that you were rested for your exams, but if you don’t even want to go to prom at all then it looks like there’s nothing anyone here can really do for you except tell you to do what you want.

No I wasn’t torn. I was seeing if there were any other kids doing the same! That’s all!
Sorry for any crossed wires.

haha i’m with you. i also don’t plan on going to my school prom. i KNOW i won’t have a date, plus, i just never really liked high school dances much. (grinding plus loud obnoxious music just isn’t really for me…)

Some of you guys have to lighten up ^^^^^^^. To put it in terminology you can relate to, prom is sort of like college in that it’s what you make it. You can go with a group of friends (with or without a date) and have a good time. You can also go and just sit there, not dance, and talk about how stupid it is.

Which is why I normally stay at home and study/sleep?
