I’m taking a pretty heavy course load at my CC this summer. The only problem is that classes start sooner than I graduate, meaning that I will have to miss the first week of CC classes because of my HS schedule. Is this a major problem? I know a lot of people skip in college, but is there a difference because it’s a summer class, meaning the teaching is accelerated (a one semester course taught within one month), and the classes are longer and meet more days a week…
Thanks!!

you should show up atleast for the first day and tell the prof about your situation.
if you dont show up the first day, they will more than likely drop you and you’ll lose the class.

but missing one week usually isnt an issue. just expect to do a catch up.
id talk to the prof about it as well

Definitely talk to your professor beforehand. Depending on the class, you probably won’t miss too much. The first week is usually spent going over the syllabus and just starting with the basics.

^ but in summer courses you start the course material right away. if anything the first day is used up going over the course syllabus and whatnot and already starting the material on that same day. Show up to class the first day and talk to the professor about your situation and see what you can do.
