Skype help for friend

She said to add that she is computer challenged. Anyway, she sent D. to Australia. D. set up Skype for her at home. She is able to receive messages and calls from D. but when she tries to send message or call she receives the error message “integer overflow”. Anyone know what is going on? She hasn’t been able to find this problem addressed on FAQs but has sent email to Skype with no answer yet.

mkm56, if she will go to the Skype forum, there appear to be multiple threads initiated by Skype users on this matter. I did a quick search of just key word “integer” and here is the result set:

http://forum.skype.com/index.php?act=Search&CODE=show&searchid=5a450beeec281b892994df5cd182148e&search_in=posts&result_type=topics&highlite=integer</a></p>

Sorry, I didn’t read ANY of them, but, in general, if your friend will visit the Skype forums (accessible from the main help page), existing users around the world will have covered just about every error imaginable.

FAQ and Skype support are rather useless in my experience.

Thanks LTS, I will pass along to her.

Tell your friend and her D to become JAJAH (jajah.com) users. No external equipment needed and they can call each other for free or anyone for 3.5 c/min (bet’ Australia and US using land lines).
