Sleep / Suicide?

;/a>

Claims that kids whom don't get much sleep have higher suicide rates... I myself find that funny. Cause I probably get 6hrs of sleep a day, and never thought about sucide, in fact, im like anti-serious about stuff.

oohhhhhhhhhhhh that explains those 450mg of codiene i took with rum the other day....thanks for the article.

the lexapro is the only thing that's saving me

hmm... =/

talking to my counselors saves me.

i've been getting around 3-5 hours of sleep.

God I love these little modern psychological studies. If only poor Bobby had an earlier bedtime... let's not even consider the other causes.

That is bs, one time I stayed up for 5 days in a row and I was having fun. However, this dude, did studies on kids in China. China? There are more problems being attributed towards suicicdal thoughts than sleep (freedom of speech, cant view us news, practically a communist state and poverty).

lol nosx stop talking you don't know what you're talking about

chinese kids are suicidal because of sleep. go ask anyone in china why they're depressed and the answer is "overworked, not enough sleep"

Hey im just blabbing. But the issue is different for chinese teens than american teens. Overworked from underpaid and strenous jobs that US teens never experience. I just think that report concerns China and a few of its neighboring countries.

I don't think any of us can say what chinese kids feel. They do work hard and all, but they don't have any extracurriculars, so maybe that's what's killing them. If they're only studying academic stuff all art, no music ::shudder::

they go to school for long hours though, and theyre always under lots of pressure..

I think it's unfair to group all chinese people into a single category.

Yea their parents push them just as hard as their neighboring country Japan does. I studied both in a Chinese School and a Japanese School, the pressure was enourmous. The kids had to be geniuses or else they would face their parents wrath (not a timeout either).

i agree with piman. as a slacker chinese, i cant fill the shoes left by other first generation chinese americans.

no we're talking about ACTUAL chinese students IN CHINA. You can be a slacker, but the demands are still there.

Gross. Some of you guys are spouting assumptions and exaggerations and stereotypes about a place clearly you know nothing about. I blame your US educations.

I blame my US education too...

lol @ oracle
