<p>Is that okay? Will the CSOs officers mind? And especially during Halloween weekened. I’m assuming no since they’re scouting the beach that night but has anyone tried it?</p>
<p>I know people who have gone out with friends and slept on the beach. I can’t tell you if it’s against the rules, but I know it’s been done.</p>
<p>As for Halloween weekend, I wouldn’t try it myself personally. Enforcement of practically everything becomes heightened. But…if you had no other option =/ Why not sleep in the car you came in?</p>

…they apparently “close” the beach at night. I…honestly have never heard of it and I know for a fact we don’t have curfews. But there you go.</p>
<p>The one post in that thread was correct about many California beaches “closing” at 10pm. I haven’t found hours for the beaches around Isla Vista but here’s some in the city of Santa Barbara:</p>

<p>I don’t think this is typically enforced (I’ve definitely been on the beach after 10pm and never had any problems), but I assume it will likely be enforced during Halloween weekend, and it definitely would give the cops a legitimate reason to kick people out after 10pm. </p>
<p>I think they try to make it as difficult as they can for out of town visitors to attend. I’m actually making the trip down (probably my one and only time as an alum) and I had my friend get a Halloween permit so she could move on campus and I could take her apartment complex spot. By around 3pm, Isla Vista will be literally at full capacity as far as parking goes (even the offroad parking spots like the end of the 6800 block of DP and Camino Majorca).</p>

and I want a friend to stay with me in manzanita but there will be UCPD and CSOs along with RAs on alert. Do you guys think if I get my friend’s access card while she’s away I can lend hers to my other friend? Will they be glancing at the cards and let us go? or will they thoroughly inspect the card and if its not the person then they’ll do something about it? I’m planning on getting my friend a ucsb sweater to better hide in too and I would say they’re ok looking alike but my roommates said they don’t remotely.</p>
<p>In Manzanita they had RAs walking through the hallways and checking on students. I was visiting a friend in the all girl’s building (so I kind of stuck out, but as a member of the dorms I was allowed to be in any dorm) and I was stopped and asked who my RA was to prove I also lived in Manzanita. I think they do take the no guests policy pretty seriously during Halloween.</p>
<p>Wow that seriously sucks >___< My friends are coming and they don’t have reservations and they don’t even have a parking permit. We don’t know where to park since places like kmart and costco are closing their lots. IV is not reliable whatsoever. Ahh this is so unplanned</p>
<p>Yep, they really don’t make it easy for out of towners. I’m coming this year because I have a guaranteed parking spot and a place to crash in IV, but this will be my last time because everyone I know will have graduated and moved out of IV. Plus I’m already reaching that age where it’s getting kind of creepy to still party in IV :D</p>
