Slight fever every evening

I’ve been having a slight fever every evening for the past three weeks (99.0-99.5). I can usually feel it coming and get kind of tired. I don’t think anything is wrong with me, nothing that’s apparent at least. I don’t have any sort of pain or anything… I tried taking Claritin and some over-the-counter antibiotic (not sold in the US lol), but it made no difference whatsoever. Googling showed me that a lot of people are experiencing the same problem and their doctors failed to find the cause and simply suggested sleep/vitamins and the like. I thought that somebody here might be or have experienced this, and are kind enough to share.

Normal variation in body temperature?

Back in high school I was walking to and from school and usually didn’t dress quite warm enough in the fall and winter months. I could literally feel my body temperature rise after breakfast (before I left for school) and a couple of minutes before the end of my last period.

Hmm, try posting this in the Johns Hopkins thread ;)

I don’t think it’s really normal, because my normal has always been 97.9

I can actually feel getting warmer. And my period can’t be the cause, for I’m not properly equipped to get one. :)

…awkward.

^^ I think she meant her last CLASS period. giggles

hahaha I’m sorry, I was skimming, I confess :(

This is something to ask a doctor because causes of nighttime fever/sweats could range from nothing to cancer.

I know but I’ve lost my insurance…

Find a clinic. Does your school not have health services? I don’t have insurance either so I know it’s hard but there are options if you’re willing to dig for them.

have you hit your head recently? The hypothalmus regulates body temperature and if you hit in your head in the right sopt, or with th right amount of force its possible it was damaged in the process. If not try going to a cold environment one evening. If the temperature persists through this…you got problems.
