Slightly Confused

<p>Hello all,</p>

<p>I have recently applied for Spring Transfer admission to the School of ILR. Last night, my father called me to say “a Big Envelope from Cornell has arrived,” and he asked if I’d like him to open it. Of course, I said yes. </p>

<p>However, this was not an admissions letter. Rather, it was a brochure from the College of Human Ecology along with a required courses for transfer sheet. At first I thought they had forwarded my application to the College of Human Ecology, but that doesn’t make sense. I haven’t completed the necessary prerequisites (specifically intro to Psych) to be admitted to any major within the college. But, I could see how my supplement essay could be construed as fitting within the PAM major.</p>

<p>My question is: Does anyone know what this means? Has this happened to anyone before?</p>

<p>What did they say happened?</p>

<p>They said that it was internal marketing that is not indicative of anything. The counselor said that if I displayed an interest in public policy (which I did), then they just sent it as overlap between the colleges (PAM major). He said don’t be alarmed.</p>

<p>I got an e-mail from CALS after submitting an application to HumanEc. I think it’s just marketing.</p>
