<p>So I just got rejected by Cal Poly and RPI, not too sure about my chances at BU anymore. It’s my dream school though, so any chances would be appreciated because I’m really stressing now…</p>

<p>GPA: 3.8 UW / 4.2 W (4.0 scale)
Upward trend (3.8 freshman/soph years -> 4.67 Junior -> 4.8 Senior)</p>
<p>Rank: 13 / ~460</p>
<p>APs: Euro (3), APUSH (5), Lang (5). Pending: AP Government, AP Lit, AP Stats, AP Bio, AP Macroecon.</p>
<p>Awards: Department award in 3 subjects (Biology, Human Physiology H, AP Lang), consistent honor roll, AP Scholar, etc.</p>
<p>ECs: 4 years marching band/concert band/winter percussion (leadership in all 3)
Leadership in a few clubs
Volunteering at a local senior center
Free tutoring for middle school music students
Other music related activities</p>
<p>How do my chances look? Is there possibility of a good scholarship? I can really only go if the cost is around 40k a year, and I don’t qualify for need-based aid.</p>
<p>your stats seem pretty good, esp your gpa sat and act scores…wow i can’t believe that u didnt get into any of those schools…i think u have a pretty decent chance in getting into BU</p>

Admission was assumed to be a little easier consider RPI had 10.7% application drop from last year. Apparently it wasn’t the case! Could you have made some mistakes on your Common App. forms or typos?
Anyway, with your stats, you should get into BU easily. Your stats are much better than my daughter. If you don’t get in, my daughter has no chance. Good luck to both of you and wish you all get in!</p>
<p>@ognyusa Nope no typos haha. Just bad luck I guess! I didn’t want to go to either of them, but it has just made me worry because they are the only two schools I have heard from so far.</p>

<p>WOW how did you not get into cal poly?? your stats are better than mine and i got in as a bio major, and i got a C in the second semester of AP bio junior year. that’s really, really weird. but i think you should be fine for BU, i’m concerned about getting in myself because i also applied there</p>
