Wondering if anyone here is hoping to keep a long-ago learned but recently unused language alive in your mind. My friend told me she listens to the podcast, Slow News in French and likes it as a way to brush up (she does travel to France on occasion). I don’t know French, but do know some Russian, so have found similar podcasts for news and language learning. Anyone else enjoying these?
Yes! I found these very helpful when dusting off my once-good French after years of using mostly Spanish. In addition to News in Slow French, I liked Coffee Break French. I need to keep listening from time to time so I’m ready for another trip!
Thanks!! I just sat in the airport waiting for my plane and listening to slow German!
I’ll have to check these out- thanks!!
Good ideas! My H was, at one point, listening to French Canadian stations on Sirius radio.
@LBowie - what podcasts have you found in Russian?
Thank you!! This is really cool. Sent it to kiddo so she can practice her Spanish and Russian.
For reading, you can also look at various other editions of Google News:

I am listening to Slow Russian Podcast. http://realrussianclub.com/slowrussianpodcast/( I access it through the Stitcher podcast app.) It is for language learning for someone with at least intermediate level Russian. I think the instructor, Daria, is really good and I’m learning also about contemporary Russian culture. She also has lessons on YouTube.
