Small Schools in FL, CO, OR ?

i’m looking for pretty small schools (under 6000) in Florida, Colorado, Oregon. I’m leaning toward an English major but I’m not sure so I’ll take any suggestions. I’m not rich, either, but not low income.

I would look at Reed in Portland (very intellectual) and Lewis and Clark in Portland.

In CO, Colorado College and Colorado School of Mines (although don’t know about their english).

In Florida, New College of Florida (very underrated but quite small), University of Tampa, Rollins College and Eckerd College all meet your criteria

What do you mean by “I’m not rich, either, but not low income.”? Will you have a high EFC and want merit aid? Are you a resident of any of those states?

In addition to the Florida schools Wneckid99 mentioned, I’d like to add USF St. Petersburg. It’s got a very charming campus right in downtown St. Pete and it’s only 15 minutes or so from some of the best beaches in the country.

Willamette University in Salem Oregon and Linfield College in McMinnville Oregon are both great places!

New College of Florida sends more people to graduate school compared to other liberal arts in FL, but has a very different grading system: they do written evaluations rather than letter grades. Also, it’s a very unique place so visit before you decide to go there.

Flagler College in St Augustine, FL

You should also look at Linfield College in Oregon.

I would say Whitman College, though it is in Washington state. It is close to Oregon however, and an excellent LAC.

I also agree with Wneck’s suggestions.

Colorado College, New College of Florida, Reed (can’t remember if it’s in WA or OR).
