Small women's shoe size

I wear a small size shoe – usually size 4 women’s, but sometimes I can fit into 5’s, depending on the style. I need help finding stores that sell small sizes. I’ve tried Nordstrom and Zappos and have had some luck, but the offerings are sparse. Suggestions? Thanks!

Maybe look into children’s sized shoes. It should not make much of a difference for casual shoes/sneaker and there may be some dress shoes that would work as well. It will be cheaper as well to buy children’s shoes.

Is there a DSW in your area? The online store carries some lines in size 4 http://www.dsw.com/

I think you’re not going to have much lunch in brick and mortar stores. Even 20 years ago my grandmother had to special order hers in that size. I used to wear a 6 and was able to wear kids’ size sneakers and some flats. They ARE cheaper. You probably won’t find adult-looking dress or business shoes though in kid’s sizes. I’d just search any and all online sites you can find.

Agree, selection online will be better. Nordstrom online currently shows 800 items available in size 4-4.5.

Some are even on sale!

My sister has good luck at Nordstroms and macys. She is a 4 or 41/2. Sometimes she’ll find a 5 on great sale and stuff the toes with cotton balls.

I just noticed this thread.

There is an excellent fashion blog written by a young woman who is 5’ tall, 96 pounds. She wears a size 5 and is always posting about various stores and sites that have small sizes. Go to extrapetite.com.

I used to wear a size 5 but after two children, I finally made it to a 5.5. I have tried children’s sizes and I do not recommend them. They are wider with a more rounded toe, and IMO don’t look good at all.

I have heard that department store in NYC sell small sizes. Also, there is a catalogue online of tiny sized women’s shoes. I am sure if you google enough you can find it!

I wear a size 5. I’ve had very good luck with Zappos - maybe we are looking for different styles. Most of my shoes are European makes. Maybe something like European size 35 would work for you? Shoe shopping can be frustrating.
