Smart Strand carpet & stain resistance

Has anyone had experience with smart strand carpet? We have light carpet on stairs and in replacing it, everyone likes the light color best, but I am leery about the current stains. If we upgrade to a smart strand are we going to still regret light carpet on stairs?

We are looking at pet stains (car barf and big dog feet) and also food spills, this is for an old person’s home and she does slosh her coffee and tea now & again.

We bought Karastan smart strand…a very light color for all of downstairs. We have a dog who barfs and its very hard to get out without a professional. Smartstrand is good for pet pee, and we do the best we can with the barf until we get the guy over…I wouldn’t recommend light carpet on stairs. We have wood there.
