SMC (community college) summer course credit transfer

Hi I am entering into UCI for Mechanical Engineering.
I was wondering if I can take a summer mathematics course at Santa Monica College, a community college and use this credit to skip to the next level of mathematics at UCI. This way I can be ahead in my mathematics courses and save time later on.

I appreciate any advice :)

Use this website [Welcome to ASSIST](<a href=“Welcome to ASSIST”>Welcome to ASSIST) to find out what courses you’ll get credit for. And look up the courses you need here <a href=“UCI General Catalogue Archives”>http://www.editor.uci.edu/catalogue/engr/engr.10.htm</a></p>

Also, just be aware the admissions office is a pain to deal with when you’re trying to get credit for transfer courses XD

Wow thanks! Very useful website :D
