SMC scholars program

I am interested in applying for the scholars program at SMC and as I was reading over the application, I noticed a note that said: “Applicants will be screened and cleared through the SMC Office of Student Judicial Affairs.
Students with a record of an infraction of the SMC Student Code of Conduct, AR 4410 and/or AR 4411, are not
eligible for the Scholars Program.”

I was suspended from school for violating one of these codes in freshman year. I am a senior now.

Are violations in high school considered for eligibility to join the scholars program? If so, is there any way I can schedule and interview with an admissions person in order to show them that I am not a delinquent?

The rule applies to infractions at SMC, not another school. Also, your high school should not report such information to SMC. You should be fine, don’t stress.
