<p>New smc student starting in fall 10, I want to transfer to UCLA or USC but i’m very confused with all this. The sign up list to see a counselor was full so I couldn’t see one today planning on seeing one tomorrow. But the thing is I did bad on my assessment test and god into Math 31 Elementary Algebra, and English 21A English Fundamentals. Does that mean its gonna take longer for me to transfer because I have bunch of classes to catch up too? I’m not sure what my majors gonna be but its between business econ/sociology.</p>
<p>short answer is yes. but just because you are behind a few classes doesnt mean you cant make up for them by taking lots of classes. many of my friends were placed into lower levels but still transfer within 2 years. </p>
<p>but if your a math major and you placed into the lowest math, obviously it will take much longer. and soc should be np, but busi econ might be because higher level math is required.</p>
