SMC vs Mt. Sac

Hey guys, it seems the 2 most popular community colleges in Southern California are Santa Monica College and Mt. San Antonio College. Both have very high transfer rates and seem to be the first choices people make when deciding to enroll into community college (SMC for those residing in West LA and Mt. Sac for those in the San Gabriel Valley/San Bernadino)
Sources say that there are 30,000 students currently enrolled at SMC, but a former student once told me there were 60,000 students attending Mt. Sac. 60,000 seems pretty drastic.

If one was given the opportunity to go to either, which school would be the less impacted (therefore the easier to enroll into classes)? Is it just as difficult to enroll in classes at Santa Monica College as it is in Mt. San Antonio College?

when i was at mtsac (2009-2010), mtsac was less impacted than SMC
but i believe smc is the less impacted one now.

not sure though, ive been out of the community college loop for quite some time.
either way, expect a lot of students regardless of where you go…and i mean…A LOT
