<p>OK, so I’ve pretty much already given up on getting into SMDEP this year because I heard about it late and consequently will be submitting my application late. The deadline is not until March 1, but I know applications have been processed since November/December. Should I just give up? </p>
<p>Also, it wants LoRs from “a professor in my major field of study.” I’ve been Undecided for a while and haven’t taken any premed pre-reqs. I’m thinking about Applied Math, though. I also haven’t gotten very close to my professors fall semester. So my options are:</p>
<ol>
<li>LOR from Applied Math TA whom I have gotten close to…</li>
<li>LOR from Applied Math professor whom I haven’t gotten close to…</li>
<li>LOR from a professor whose Anthropology class I’ve taken and have gotten fairly close to but who isn’t in my “major field of study”</li>
</ol>
<p>What should I do?!</p>
