Smeal (PSU), Hough (UF), Fox (Temple), Katz (University of Pittsburgh)

I just received all of my acceptance letters and I’m having a hard time choosing, would love to hear any and all opinions! I got accepted to Temple University’s Fox School of Business, University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Florida’s Hough Graduate School of Business, and Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business. I’m going to major/pre-major in Marketing and I just wanted to get some advice and opinion on these businesses schools. Thank you all in advance!

Cost is an important, and often deciding, factor for most.

Check out whether you’re in your major freshman year or have to apply again later. At Penn State there are Entrance to Major requirements: https://ugstudents.smeal.psu.edu/academics-advising/get-into-a-smeal-major/entrance-to-major-requirments

@Publisher I’m okay with the costs of all four! As a PA resident, the in-state tuition is not too bad for Smeal, Fox, and Katz. My parents have thought about moving to Florida before too. So if I choose UF I believe I can pay the in-state tuition which is only about $7000/year

@bodangles Right! My heart was set on Smeal for a while until I realized that I’m only accepted as a pre-major and must maintain at least a 3.2 gpa for the first year before I can officially declare my major sophomore year. My main concern at the moment for Smeal is the likeliness of keeping a 3.2

Check Florida’s residency requirements.

@Gator88NE Thank you! If I decide on UF then I will pay OOS tuition for the first year but then in-state for the ones after

How can you be admitted to graduate programs right out of high school?
