I see “Documents & Messages” and “Downloadable Forms” below that.
I don’t see anything that says “terms and conditions”
I don’t have a screenshot from last year to confirm, but I think the comments from last year’s CC thread indicate that Terms And Conditions was a tab in the financial aid portal (so not sure whether it was below/within another category…might have been just its own category). They may well have changed things this year - if nobody is seeing Terms and Conditions, a change this year to the process/portal in comparison to last year could certainly be the case. I know Friday seems like a long time from now…at least they release in the afternoon Eastern time rather than in the evening.
Any updates or changes in the financial aid and/or applicant portal?
Do they usually announce acceptances at a certain time?
I think they announced that decisions would be available between 3-5 EST
Good luck, everyone!!
Decisions are out!
D24 accepted! No merit and FA is a tad under the NPC.
Top 5%, 35 ACT, 12 or 13 APs, good ECs.
I was super impressed with Smith when we visited this summer. The campus was beautiful, Northampton was charming, the housing was super cool, we received a 60-minute personal tour of the studio art facilities from a senior professor, and a professor from another department stopped to speak with us about Smith unprompted.
accepted!
Anyone have any insight into how Smith handles the waitlist?
Not sure - D waitlisted as well.
Accepted! No merit but excellent aid. Tough decisions ahead!
The CDS for 2023-2024 was not available when we applied - but for 2022-2023 they offered over 2K spots on the waitlist, over 1K accepted a spot on the list - and they admitted 37 from the list. It varries every year. If you get waitlisted, definitely send an LCI and any updates.
Our daughter was accepted and this has always been her first choice. Aid offered was close to the Net Price calculator. Thrilled for her. We haven’t visited yet, looking forward to it.
Thank-you, sounds like a long shot!
anyone has a link for application portal?
I’ve checked the CDSs for a number of LACs to gauge waitlist probability. My sense is that for most LACs it significantly varies from year to year. Sometimes a school underadmits and takes 10%+ of the students off the waitlist. Whereas the next year that same school may overadmit and take 0 from the waitlist. So, you never really know. Good luck!
Waitlisted. It was a nice surprise after I was rejected from Mount Holyoke which i thought i actually had a shot at. does anybody have any advice on getting off the waitlist aside from the letter of continued interest ofc?
Parents of newly admitted students, congratulations! Please join our Smith College Parents and Families Facebook group. (The private one). No students, please.
Smith makes it 6 waitlists
D24 still asking me if this is normal
- that’s 6/13 apps to non-safeties. 2 good acceptances, 3 rejections and 2 left.
