I think the key for you will be the essay- Really give it your best. Try to interview, if possible. My daughter had similar stats as you- almost the exact same GPA and a 1450 SAT plus an awesome art portfolio (accepted to RISD) but wasn’t accepted ED. Everything happens for a reason- She’s at Kenyon College in Ohio and absolutely loving it! She’s studying neuroscience and studio art. So, maybe consider Kenyon for RD if Smith doesn’t work out!
Anyone know if ED decisions are always released on 12/15 or is it typically a certain day of the week?
I thought its typically on a Friday, but I have the same question as you.
Hi, do anyone know how many may have applied to smith under ED deadline? Also how many will be accepted from that pool? Do anyone have a rough estimation about it?
Congrats to all the ED I admits and families! We welcome the parents to join our Smith Parents and Families FB group(the private one).
According to the Smith College Common Data Set (CDS). In 2023-2024 - 930 students applied for ED and 303 were accepted (33% ED acceptance rate)
Replying to my own comment as a reference for others…my student was accepted ED to Smith!
Congratulations! Smith is a very special place!
