Hello! I am in a big dilemma. I have always wanted to go to U of M, however I’m starting to question whether or not I would be a good fit. For one thing, I feel like everyone at the school is a genius, and I am definitely not. I got a 30 ACT and a 3.84 GPA. I got accepted to LSA, but did not get preadmit to Ross. I did however get direct admission to the Cox School of Business at SMU, also a very respectable school. At SMU, I feel like I would not feel that everyone is smarter than me, whereas I feel like if I went to Michigan I wouldn’t be able to get as high of GPA, and may not be able to get into Ross. Where should I go? Money is not an issue by the way.

I think you’re going to feel the same way about your intelligence at either Michigan or SMU. U of M is a great school, but it is also a state school so you’ll have your fair share of smart people and dumb people. Same with SMU…and 30 ACT and 3.84 GPA is damn good lolol you’ve been on CC for waaay too long.
A big difference between the two schools is the location. Michigan is in Ann Arbor, which is a cute, quintessential college town, but it’ll be much harder to do internships. SMU still has a campus, but it’s within Dallas, a booming city, with lots of internship opportunities. SMU is also a smaller school and you really do get to know your professors.

hope this helps a little bit!
