Sneaky way to get good teacher recs.

My mom’s friend son got teacher rec’s from most of his teachers through his high school…which is ALOT…he offered to mail it for them instead of themselves mailing it. When he had all of them he put the envelope over some steam and read the teacher recs. He picked the best ones and then mailed them…I don’t recommend doing this, but all i have to say is that is pretty damn sneaky

BUMMMMMMMMMMMMMp

shrugs

my english teacher just writes 'em right with you, then you type what she wrote and bring it back to her. She signs the sheet and gives it to you.
You could do anything from that point.

99% risk-free.

now screwing around with the envelopes is not altogether risk-free.

thats actaullly really cool, I wish my teachers were like that…but ha they arent…well anyway i just thought it would be interesting if i shared that

Being dishonest is not clever.

yea it is… It’s not even being dishonest.

Tricking people into doing work for you under false pretenses and then steam opening other people’s mail, that was sealed so you couldn’t read it is dishonest and possibly illegal. Don’t you have parents?

That’s exactly what I said to him, and not only was his mom completely against his decision to do that he totally got screwd over, not only was it the not the smartest thing to do, he was bragging about it, i found that pretty disgusting

My teachers let me read the recs and encouraged me to make sure there weren’t any mistakes or anything left out that I really wanted in them. I didn’t really ask for changes, because I wanted the recs to be their opinions and not mine.

my teachers let me read them and mail them as well, or they just give me a copy of the letter i havent altered or embellished anything though

Wow, I’m impressed by your lack of integrity, confidence and honesty. If I were a college adcom and I knew you did this, I would throw away you app right away.

wow, that is very sneaky. My counselor mails our recs separately. Teachers give him recs and he sorts them out(I imagine it takes a lot of time) and mails them without us ever seeing what was written.
