Ok, we’re from a mild climate so I got really excited looking at the webcam of the rock this afternoon and seeing lovely fresh snow (thanks to a fellow CC’er for the tip)! D is very excited as well!

I couldn’t help noticing that people are actually camping in a tent by the rock tonight. They must have something REALLY important to paint tomorrow! ;-D

Snow doesn’t mean it’s that cold. My fraternity invariably guarded the rock on the coldest night of the year, including one year when it got to -30 with wind chill. Water froze on contact with stone.

Great photo of the snow falling from NU:[imgur: the simple image sharer](Imgur: The magic of the Internet)

My son is an NU sophomore and our home is in SC. He laughs at us now when we talk about winter in SC! I am amazed at how well he has adjusted to the weather in Evanston. I talked to him yesterday and he said the weather is messy but he does not feel cold. NU is prepared for and expects the weather…we get surprised by it every year in the south!

D is adjusting to the weather easily as well, though I don’t think she’d willing camp by the rock in -30 wind chill @arbiter213’s fraternity. ;-D

Where do you find pictures via the webcam?

Thank You arbiter213!
