Hi everyone. I’m a sophomore at a slightly-competitive Catholic high school. I would positively love to go to Columbia. I feel it would be the perfect foundation for, basically, the rest of my life. I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up or anything. But hey, shoot for the moon, you land among the stars, right??

I don’t have too many stats yet, but I would really appriciate some advice for what to do in the future. Oh and by the way, my school has a trimester system. Two tris=complete subject education for that year. Electives are one tri

Culmilitive gpa W 3.9, I think… unsure of unweighted.

Theatre all year, NHS induction, Thespian membership, was one of 8 out of about 550 selected to go to Washingon D.C. to speak with senators/congresspeople about preservation/conservation (somewhat of an honor)

Future Plans: I plan on working my butt off and earning a scholarship at Thespian convention junior yr (LARGE convention), AP gov jr yr, AP Bio, English, History sr yr. Oh and I know my ecs are horrible but I plan on distinguishing myself in theatre and literature/writing…i have a few ideas.

I know some of the classes up there are not impressive (computer apps, health) but there is ZERO way of getting out of them.

BOTTOM LINE…Snowball’s chance in h*** for Columbia??

Other colleges I’m thinking about include Swarthmore, Boston College, Boston University, Williams, Colgate, Hamilton.

Thank you so much! Any constructive criticism appreciated!
