well your test scores are really low, i would work on trying to raise them. and you didn’t really say anything about your school gpa or school info in general. I think most would be reach for you. I think you would have a better chance going to an easier school and then transferring instead of going to community college and then trying to transfer to one of these schools

I will be perfectly honest with you, but I strongly believe you’re college material. A test score does not define your potential nor destiny. First off, you need to find school that is a match, and will prepare you for the real world. Honestly, it will be extremely difficult for you to gain admission to: UT-Austin, UC-Santa Cruz, and Virginia Tech. You have a pretty good shot at George Mason, Penn State, and Viginia Commonwealth. You might want to consider Dennison University, Whittier College, Wheaton College, Capital University, Morehouse College, you would truly be able to grow and prosper academically in that environment. A “21” is fairly decent, and you have enough skills to attend a four year university, community college is not really needed in your case. Good Luck!

George Mason-Probably In
James Madison- Probably Not
Penn State-Probably not University Park(main campus), but you might be able to get into one of the branch campuses.
U Texas Austin-Probably Not
Virginia Commonwealth-Probably In
Virginia Tech-probably not
University of California Santa Cruz-probably not

George Mason- probably in
James Madison- maybe, they’re desperately trying to recruit more black people and your IB
Penn State- no
U Texas Austin- no
Virginia Commonwealth- yes
Virginia Tech- no
University of California Santa Cruz- no

VCU and George Mason are possibilities, but anything beyond JMU is a bit of a reach. You might want to look at other colleges in VA, like CNU and ODU.

your def college materials, but i dont see some of them working out like JMU, UT, VT, UCSC, and Penn St. They are tough for outta staters with good stats. Your URM will help but there will URM’s with better scores so your gonna have a difficult time with tohse. The rest i think you could deff get in.

I think going to comm college, getting a high GPA, and then transferring is the most efficient way to go to a school that you want with a good rep.
