<p>I’m Chinese female (wow, am I really at a disadvantage?) and I attend a prestigious boarding school in NE. </p>

<p>SAT: W: 710 R: 660 M: 660 (retook it in December–math and critical reading should rise considerably)
SAT IIs: Lit 730 Math IIC 740 US History 680
Grade average: 88-89, top ~40% class of 200 students</p>

<p>Recommendations:

  1. Awesome. He says I’m the best student in his 37 years of teaching.
  2. Great. I got one of the highest grades in his class even though he’s my new teacher this year. </p>

<p>Essays:
-My love of Astronomy–a moment in time with my telescope
-About a hospital visit in Brooklyn one summer to help my relatives with translating and witnessed pain and tears while I struggled to calm myself amid all the chaos. I spent a sleepless night there while someone was groaning in pain next to me.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:</p>

Stargazing Public Outreach Community Service throughout Rhode Island, sponsored by school grants (coordinator and participant)

ECs are good…nothing great.
Was impressed with your essay topics…particularly your star-gazing one…seems very interesting! I would love to read it!
