i took a chem class over the summer to advance into physics – i was the only one at my school to do it. should i “brag/say it” on my application? also, i was promised entry into bio AP and physics honors upon successful completion of the chem class… i only got into physics honors. not bio, so i took it the year after.

SAT: 750 Math, 600 Verbal =(
SATII: 690 Math 1, 620 Physics, 710 Spanish <- Do they consider a 3rd?
(also I plan on taking math 2/french and retaking physics)

classes:
regular: bio/chem(at a college)/physics honors
AP: bio/chem/physics B/calc AB and BC/spanish/economics(micro/macro)

they ran out of spanish classes for me in my school, so i went to a lower spanish class to keep up with the speaking/listening aspect. should i mention this? i think my guidance counselor briefly mentioned it in her letter.

GPA: 3.8/4.0
(1.0 for AP and 0.5 for honors)
i have 7 ap’s and 7 honors… one of the highest in my school. should i mention this also?

and finally, does this make me ‘competitive’ as far as stats go?

lol im asian, but i do ‘diversity work’ around school. i lead discussions/educate people in racism/sexism/etc and give speeches on racism/sexual orientation/equality rights/etc. so it only makes sense that im part of the black latino student union. we work together =P other cultures are pretty interesting compared to mine (chinese) and american society (which ive obviously been exposed to alot) =b

hmm your ec’s are pretty good…but then being asian hurts you so much just cause its MIT …idn im not a pro but im sure some people here wil give you their input

Why do so many people on this thread claim that being asian hurts you when the admission officers at top schools like MIT repeatedly say that they do not discriminate against Asians?
