So close...

I’ve just entered into the heated argument stage with my parents about going to McGill over the University of Michigan (of which many of my family members are proud and fierce alumni… tricky situation right). I think I won the most recent argument, but I could use some closing shots to finish them off. Any ideas?

couldn’t resist:

McGill 131 Rhodes Scholars… UofM 26

McGill is linked to the invention of each Basketball (via an alumnus), Ice Hockey (first organized game), Football (first organized game vs. Harvard), and Rugby (first organized game in north america vs. Harvard)

McGill is the #1 ranked public school in north america on the Times Higher Education Rankings (#18) (UofM = #19).

You can live in a hotel or apartments your first year.

The city is French and you will pick up bits of a new language.

One of the cheapest urban cities to live in, in North America.

Arguably the cultural, musical and intellectual hub of Canada.

Drinking age is 18 so there are no legal issues with alcohol…and all Canadians/foreigners already drink responsibly.

Nobody has a car so there is no drinking and driving.

and lastly, James McGill and his dog are buried on campus… badass.

klmnop you have been a major help, especially in assuring me I’m making the right decision. I just read your PM, and will show your messages to my parents. Thanks again!
