So frustrated... will my new low(er) score outbalance my 800?

I took the SAT in March, and received a 2220- 800/620/800. I studied for my next round, which was the October SAT. I just got my scores- 770/650/720.
A) On both of my PSATs and my previous SAT I got 80/800 on writing. I’m seriously dumbfounded as to how I got a 720 this time, especially as I had an 11 essay. (This is not a kvetch- it’s honest confusion.) Obviously I’ll wait until the score breakdown comes next week to see if maybe a bunch of the questions all moved down one or something, but as I did not find the questions difficult at all, I’m very confused. If it still doesn’t make sense after I get the score report, is it worth it to get them to regrade the test? Does this leave a bad impression on colleges?
I’M NOT CALLING A 720 A BAD SCORE. It’s just not a score I expected due to my previous performance and my recollections of how the test went.
B) I sent both of my SAT scores to my colleges. They all superscore, which means that theoretically, the lower scores don’t matter and my score is now a 2250 (800/650/800). Even so, will the fact that those lower scores exist be a problem for me?
I hope I don’t come across as a kvetchy brat- I really don’t intend to be. Just color me confused.
Thanks!

same thing happened to me: got an 800 on writing in March (perfect multiple choice and 12 essay), and I got a 700 this time (again, I didn’t think they were that hard - thought I only had 1, maybe 2 wrong going out of the testing site - and with a 10 essay too!). I’m sending in both of them for a 2320 superscore, but it sucks cause that 700 may make my 800 look way worse!

Regarding OP’s question, I think you’re fine. a 720 is still a great score. I can’t imagine it would hurt your perfect score
