So Here's My Plan...

Within the last two or three days, I have been driving myself crazy with the coming college decisions, especially since I have been trying to figure out if my not getting contacted for missing FA info is a sign of rejection. I think CC makes me even more nervous about this whole thing than if I were to just be waiting by myself. What I'm going to try to do the rest of this week and the next is to NOT think about colleges at all. I will do some art projects, run around town, play the piano, watch some movies, get some studying in (of course, ;)), read some books, and save the worrying until Thursday afternoon. Even then, I'll get home at 5PM after track, so I won't give myself time to be unproductive, sitting at my desk and constantly refreshing windows. So I've decided... yeah! I'll TRY not to come to CC until then, but if that doesn't work, I'll stop reading and making posts about being rejected, or whatever. I hope this works! :)

good luck :)

i didn't even realize decisions were only a week away. you just have to put it in the back of your mind.

To might wanna put a block on this website....ask a friend to think of a password and only to unlock it on the 31st. This site is really dangerous when thinking about college.

I've been majorly stressing, but I've just decided to relax about the whole thing. I've done my best, and all I can do now is wait. Rather than wasting time and energy in worrying, I'll waste time doing something that's much more fun, like playing golf (I'm an addict). Now that it's out of my hands, relaxation's the best policy.

A person creates their own luck.

That's all I have to offer in terms of advice. Good luck to all of you. 5 more days!

aye , the tension

So very true!

CC is actually taking some of the tension off lol :p Its such a deeply unproductive activity that I forget to worry. :)

I thought CC would alleviate some of my stress before EA decisions came out. It didn't, but I became addicted anyway...:)

haha I am getting waitlisted everywhere, even my safety :p- you'd think I'd be a bit more tense...maybe its because I dont have any fingernails left to bite :p

What's your safety? If you have Wash U as a "safety," then yes, you will be getting waitlisted there, just like 90% of those who applied. haha.

Just kidding, of course...:)

Hehe I didnt apply to Wash U.

My safety was Franklin and Marshall and they waitlisted me :D

I was also waitlisted by Caltech

What conclusions can I draw from that

This is funny ;)

Aww...good luck with all the others. I'm crossing my fingers for you!!

I'm crossing all the digits I have. By the time decisions come out and I become "uncrossed" I will have enough stored energy in my "crossings" to power a small city :)

do you guys get what I was saying?

someone isnt getting enough sleep around here...:p

thanks vivaldi!

I still haven't been able to wrap my mind around being rejected....

just psych yourself up for a rejection, that way if you get rejected it will be no surprise but if you get accepted it will be like winning the lottery

rejection will hurt even if you're expecting it just like deferral hurt even though I was expecting it. Rejection is just going to hurt a lot more :(

ahhh, let's not think about that...yet :p
