Jerry Springer the Opera - if you don’t think you are going someplace unique ask yourself how many Harvard graduates are the subjects of award winning operas. Any school that gives you Jerry Springer, Dr. Michael DeBakey and Yahoo founder David Filo is no Confederacy of Dunces.

Geez talk about ancient history? How long has it been since Calvin Hill carried a football? It is 30 years since he played for Dallas and when he went to the Redskins (my homeboys) he didn’t like to get hit.

Well, since my Cowboys pedigree goes way back to the beginning —. BTW, have you noticed that once these backs are done and washed up they go to Washington? Duanne Thomas anyone. LOL BTW, I am SOOOOOO glad Daniel Synder is your owner!

Yeah talk about not liking to get hit Thomas really took the cake. As for Danny Snyder I (and every Redskin fan I know) would gladly trade him for a bucket of warm spit if anybody would make the offer :-)

Wait to next year. 'Skins have got the defense and as soon as the offense starts clicking even a little this team is going to be hell on wheels. The owner may stink but we have the best coach in football - and a Tulane QB!!!

Patuxent, in the last 5 years, I am seeing a lot of interest in Tulane, Vanderbilt, and Miami. These are top tier kids who are definitely matches for the ivy league. Many of them are getting very big financial aid packages from these schools and they are biting. And they love it there when they go. It used to be that Emory was a big school in this category, and it still is, but these other colleges are beginning to come up more and more often.

Yes I know jami my kid is one of them. I couldn’t take out $80,000 or $100,000 in loans to send him to a top 20 school unless I was prepared to live on SS when I retired. I honestly don’t feel he is being short-changed one cent at Tulane and there is no way in hell that you can convince me that Hartford or Provicence or some frozen hole in upstate NY or NH has anything to offer outside of the class room.

My friend’s son is probably going to Tulane over BC. A big decision for him since he lives in an area where EVERYONE aspires to go to BC. But a visit to New Orleans motivated by a nice scholarship offer has really caused a change in heart.
