I only have one other shot at housing and it’s something I don’t want to do.

How difficult would it be for me to get into Haas without this extra fall semester? Because I was planning on going to community college and taking breadth courses over there, however they do not give Berkeley credits so I’m skeptical about going through with community college

And I’m wondering if taking easy breadth courses like film appreciation, astronomy, etc. will impact Haas’s decision. If so, I will take more difficult classes.

A lot of people actually take the easiest breadth courses (a few that actually give out >80% As) to boost their GPAs. And a high GPA = a great chance at getting into Haas. I don’t think missing the fall semester will affect your chances of getting into Haas, as long as you plan your courses carefully (not 100% sure about this, though). Also, I think you have the option of applying during the fall semester of your junior year if you need the extra time…

Dude, have you tried getting off campus housing? If you haven’t, it couldn’t hurt to try looking around before you make your decision to skip FPF.

so spring housing is guaranteed? that’s pretty awesome. haha
where are you living then helloall? im choosing between telegraph and westminster currently. :/

Do Telegraph Commons it’s awesome we have kitchens and it’s cheap and we can have guests and it’s right next to cafe tres and half of it’s getting refurbished and they have public bathrooms so you can meet people and it’s awesome :).

I’m trying to get all the FPF people to go to TC o_O

I going to be on a refurbished floor and if the rumors are correct that the floors are single sex then I’ll be on the guy’s refurbished floor. Other than that I don’t know I asked Tiffani a while ago for extra info and she said I’d get it in August.

Check Westminster House or Tau House for any spots. They are very similar to the dorms and will give you a good, if not better, freshman experience. Last year, I recall people giving up spots at the last minute because dorm housing offers went through. These places have a lot of FPF students, as well, and offer (imo) less restrictions than the dorms do.
