I think it went great! It was for Cornell, but I live in Boston and couldn’t make it up there, so I had it locally. It was around two hours, but it was really awesome. I definitely think being on here helped me have some idea of what to expect. I was really nervous because I had never done an interview, but it was really relaxed in a really nice atmosphere (at the firm she works for here in Boston).

She graduated from Cornell in the early 80’s and really couldn’t have been nicer. We went through my portfolio and she gave me some feedback, but I really think the best part of it was hearing what she had to say about the profession in general, and her answers to my questions were articulate and well-considered. It was a really great experience actually, so anybody who’s having one in the future, I think the best advice I could give you is relax, be yourself, and be ready to talk about your interest in architecture. And bring your portfolio.

Anyway, does anyone know how much the interview matters? She was very positive at the end, and loved my portfolio (I did a lot of revisions since I sent it to most of you last). Heres to hoping, and good luck to everyone else applying to architecture schools!
