So I just took the ACT this morning, and I feel really bad about it

<p>I got a score of 23 at first time when I took ACT in October. I wasn’t prepared and neither studied about it.
English:20
Math:27 I can do better on this section. I was disappointed by this score. Since I took Pre-cal H at school.
Reading:23 time issue
Science:23 time issue and I find this section is the hardest among all to me.
Today, the science section just throw me off. I only finished the half of it; I was panicking because I realized the stupid mistakes I made on the previous sections and everything else. Ugh, I really need at least a composite of 29.
I am straight A student, has a GPA of 4.0. Weighted 4.75. However, I don’t take all honors classes because my school just won’t let me do it. They don’t even want me to try. ( English is my second language) I am like top 9 percent of my grade. 55 of 605, I don;t quite remember.
I want to go to UIUC and my major would be accountancy. That’s going be tough, I know. UIUC accountancy is ranked #2 in the US. </p>

<p>I am the secretary of Octagon Club.(which is a club that does community services)

Math team (I have joined it for a year, and didn’t get any awards. Although I have really good grades in my Pre-Cal H class, I should do better on the competitions which I didn’t).

<p>Clearly, my transcript shows that I am not a good driver.- -
And I not taking all the rigorous classes. </p>

<p>I am taking accounting honors I right now; I am not sure this counts as an advantage to me since my major is accountancy. I will take accounting honors II next year.</p>

<p>I don’t know. I am frustrated right now. </p>

<p>For the Science Section, DO NOT SPEND TIME READING THE TABLES/EXPERIMENTS. It is a waste of time honestly, just skim it quickly to get a gist of what you’re dealing with. Go to the questions and just look for what they are asking you. If they tell you to refer to a table/experiment and find something, do that and find what they’re asking. This will save you SO MUCH time. </p>

<p>@elyvine I tried, but it seems like I need to read the questions for 2, or 3 times to understand what it is asking which wastes so much time. Thank you for your advice.</p>

<p>This isn’t a chance me forum… there are other forums as well as college specific forums that may help you get a better answer to your question. Go the UIUC website to see what the stats are of admitted students. </p>
