So I think I have OCD...

…Because I repeatedly have thoughts that are crazy and not like myself (weird thoughts about opposite sex–I am not straight–that are disturbing,) weird worries that take years to get rid of, have to erase and rewrite things like 10 times or I go insane, spin around on the platform between two stair sets or else I can’t live, land on my right foot when landing on the floor from the steps…among many other things…

Does this sound very OCD like?

I think it may be something more than OCD. You should seek help. And I am serious. Are you taking any illegal drugs?

hum…you need to check yourself into a clinic

I could give you a ridiculous rant, but I won’t. You don’t have OCD.

Could be but get your consultation elsewhere.

Jeremy:

It sounds like typical OCD symptoms. I have it, and so does my sister. I’ve been taking a drug called Paxil for it for over three years now. I’m never completely free of OCD, but I’m a damn sight better. The things I used to worry about, obsess over until I was sick, my daily “rituals” (believe it or not, I used to do the stair thing as well!)… gone, pretty much. I can actually laugh about it these days.

Just schedule an appointment with your doctor, honestly tell him/her what you’re experiencing (they hear it more than you might think), and they’ll diagnose it. OCD is very common and highly treatable.

Good luck!

No drugs, I just took a test that my mom gave me and it said I was like 90% OCDer…and I NEVER suspected it. hmm.

What is OCD? I hear this term being used a lot.

^Seriously? Obsessive Compusive Disorder.

It sounds like OCD to me; very treatable, but get professional help

OCD is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
OCD is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
OCD is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

And no I am not actually serious about what I just typed–I’m not THAT ocd haha…usually

Maybe. But if you like who you are and it hasn’t hurt your ability to function in real life, then you don’t have a problem.

(If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it!)

It is starting to…I can’t hang out with friends without feeling reallyyyy anxious all the time.
