<p>hey,i don’t want to bust your bubble… but unfortunately, i got to yale, and it does “grade cap” and often. but that shouldn’t discourage you from applying, or going if you get in. it’s not that bad, if you work hard.</p>
<p>Thanks for the response. By grade capping, is it A-F or mainly As and Bs, like Ivy schools are reputed to do? Also, is it mostly in the freshman classes or everywhere?</p>
<p>the grade distribution is usually something like 30 percent a’s 30 percent b’s, 25 percent c’s, and the rest for d and below. it usually happens in lecture classes, which usually aren’t grade specific.</p>
