Hah, you kinda sound like me. I’m also aiming for MIT (while typing with an MIT shirt on, haha), and in robotics. I agree with glassesarechic, just make sure that you get a nice healthy balance of A’s and B’s, like 4:2 or 5:1 ratio each year. Robotics shouldn’t be that bad, unless you’re a super intense team like we are. In that case, I’m sure you can find some lulls in the season/time you’re there to get hw done/studying. Try doing it with other kids in robotics.

Also, the whole robotics, track, and football thing is maintainable as long as you just make sure to go to each sport a few days a week and robotics a few days a week. The coaches will understand.

Good luck, I’m sure you’ll do fine

I found that the Barrons book was also pretty helpful for Java.

200m - 23.6 PR, usually under 24.5, almost always under 25.
400m - 52.4 PR, usually under 55.

I heard someone on this forum was on the Thunderchickens.

Lol our district just started FIRST robotics. This one school is being super serious with like 3pm-8pm schedules everyday.

Are those automatic times? And the 400 is pretty impressive. My best automatic are 6.77 (55), 23.02 (200) and 54.0 (400) - not much of a 400 runner :p. My hand times are a bit under that.

Not automatic. Courtesy of athletic.net’s rounding errors lol.

I started out as a 200m runner, but switched to the 400 due to the needs of the team at that time. I just stuck with it; pacing myself felt better than always exploding from start to finish, even if I do end up feeling worse after the 400.

Nice 200 time btw.

My main race is still the 100 though, mid-distance doesn’t really suit me.

Epic Fail Today, my idea was shot down after I made my presentation, I had 3d models and everything, supposedly it was against the rules… DAMN!

I heard ours is pretty intense, we got people from JPL helping us… LOL
