So Much Stuff On My Mind... Need Advice - WARNING: Extremely Long Post

I am totally overwhelmed right now, and if anyone can give me some advice on what I should focus on right now, and really be preparing, and how to prepare I would be very thankful. I am currently a sophomore, and I PLAN to go into the medical field (specifically do accelerated BS/MD program; I’m determined I want to do that, and I’m not scared to do the work). Please don’t say i’m too young to think about medical school, or that I might change my mind down the road. So I need to study for:

The SAT (and PSAT)
I have to work on my essay writing skills
Do schoolwork
Learn another language
Learn Biology, Spanish, Chemistry (or physics) for SAT Subject test
Volunteering at a hospital
Study for CPT (Computerized Placement Test) This is for my community college that I’m going to go to next year (I’m dual enrolling)

I have some other stuff going on too, and I know that this isn’t a lot for some of you, but to me it is just too much to do in the short time I have.

I’m currently going to a horrible high school who offers no AP classes, and only 2 honors classes, that aren’t really honors material wise. So I plan to self-study almost everything on the list.

So can anyone give me some advice on how to prioritize, and what to do. I plan to get as close to an 800 on the SAT and Subject Tests as I can.

How I’m currently Studying For All Of This:

SAT-
-Math- I’m doing the BB tests with Khan Academy videos, and I am learning and understanding how he is doing the math problems. I hope that by the time I finish all of the tests he has the videos for, I will be able to consistently get 700+. As of right now my score is around 600-650. After finishing his videos, I’m going to do the Dr. Chung’s book which I’ve heard has helped a lot of people. (If you guys have recommendations other than Dr. Chung’s please let me know)

-Reading- Because I have some time, I’m just reading books, and looking up words as I read. (I don’t write down the word or the definition, but do you think it will be more beneficial to me if I wrote down all the words, and then memorized them Later?) I am also memorizing Direct Hits, and sparingly doing some Reading comprehension passages.

-Writing- I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO. I know that there are a lot of guides, and stuff, but I just don;t know what material to start with, and then what to end with.

SAT Subject Test-
-Biology- I am currently studying Biology (just regular Biology, as they don’t give anything else) at my school. I have “Campbell and Reece’s Biology Eighth Edition”, and I have Cliff notes AP biology with me. I don’t think that I’m really going to go head-on right now with studying for the Subject Tests, as I don’t think it is THAT important right now.

For Chemistry and Spanish and all the other Subject Tests that I don’t know which one I’m taking right now, I;m not really worrying about them RIGHT now. Maybe in the summer…

If anyone, has better material or way to prepare for the SAT and all of the other stuff , I would be very thankful for your input, and helping me.
CPT-
-CPT- I have this workbook thing that I got from my CC, some of it’s the basic, but I want to start CC from where I;m ending at my high school. For example, I’m taking Pre-Calc right now, and I want to take calculus, NOT Pre-Calc again just because my scores weren’t high enough. I’m not to worried about it right now, but I do have to take it, I think, in May.

I’m sorry for this very long post, But I just need some help in prioritizing my stuff, and this is the only forum I could think of where I could get a straight answer. Please share any advice you have, as I really need to get all this done while getting the highest scores on all of the actual Standardized tests.
Also, what is the best way for me to learn Spanish for the Subject tests, and to actually learn it as my third language. (First language is English, Urdu, and hopefully Spanish). Please help me on this everyone, every little advice is welcome, and, again, I apologize for this very long post.

Wish I could help you, but I’m an international student, and where I’m from, colleges don’t require AP classes/honor classes/high GPA/extracurriculars (whatever the **** all these are). All they ever care about is the SAT.

But according to what most Americans say, you’re taking way way too much. And you’re still a Sophmore. I’d say focus on your school work, and APs and all that crap during the school year, and study for the SAT during the summer. That’s what most students do anyway.

But you seem determined. That’s always a good thing. Take a deep breath, take a break, and don’t cram too much.

Where are you trying to go to college?

Well, I’m trying to get into a 6 year or 7 year BS/MD Program. I don’t really care where exactly I get in. If I can’t get into a BS/MD program, then I plan to go to UCF (which is directly connected to my CC which is Valencia Community College). But regardless of where I go, I want to get the highest scores I can get.

Also, if anyone has any advice please share!

Anyone else?

bump… 10char
