<p>…Life has dealt me an unkind hand this past semester.</p>

<p>I want to know about my list of colleges, ranked in preference, with what I think are my chances. I need to know if it’s about right to tinker around with it for next year, when I apply.</p>

<p>STATS:</p>

<p>Asian Female, VA
Rank: Top 5%
GPA: ~4.3 W, 3.9 UW
SAT I: 1420/2170 (retaking)
SAT II: 700-800 (projected)
Most rigorous courseload available at the school, 9-11 AP courses.</p>

<p>ECs:

  • Violin, 7 yrs.
  • Ecology Club (Officer next year)
  • Envirothon Team
  • Creative Writing Club
  • Volunteer at library, 100 hours
  • Volunteer at health clinic over the summer, probably 100 hours.</p>

<p>Applying to:</p>

<p>1) JHU (ED) - reach.
2) UChicago (EA) - slight reach.
3) UVa (EA) - high match.
4) UPenn - reach.
5) Duke - reach.
6) UMD:CP - match.
7) William and Mary - low match/safety.
8) VTech - safety.
9) JMU - safety.</p>

<p>Does this seem reasonable?</p>
