So what are my chances?

Hey guys!

So anyone want to give me my chances of getting into these schools? (in order of choice)

Major: I’m leaning toward liberal arts, possibly law, maybe business but I really don’t know.

The schools – I’m poor, need full need met, which pretty much governed me choices:
Princeton University

5 world languages (2 years French (up t French III), 2 years latin, 1 spanish class at community college).
102+ weighted average, 96ish unweighted, should be top 10-20 of class but “there is no class rank”
Community College – Part-time student, with about 3 classes completed (4.0)
Drexel University (Drexel Young Scholar) - allowed to take one class a semester free, taken 1 class =)

Recommendations:
I expect a stunning rec letter from my junior English teacher
Also think I’ll ask my latin teacher for one, to offset having changed languages half way, since I EXCEL in latin (100 avg, captain to competitions, latin honor society, teacher loves me, etc)

Essay:
Not a problem. I’m the third best writer I’ve ever met, and I’ve met a lot of writers. =)

I’ve there’s anything else, don’t hesitate to ask! Thank you! :-)

NYU has horrible financial aid. Just wanted to let you know, since you are an applicant that will need full need met. I have similar concerns. University of Chicago will be offering full tuition to low income students, so maybe you will consider putting them on your list.

Oh? Thanks for the info. I didn’t really care for NYU anyway…looking for more suburban (exception is DC area), but yeah I think I can get full need based at any school that meets 100% need (Princeton, Amherst, etc)

which school from south jersey?
eastern?

Perfect for Georgetown

man, i didn’t know your unweighted gpa was so high :P

and yep, eastern.

jackie!!
=]

natasha!!!

(cooper!!!)

jackie!!!

natasha!!!

The success of your essay has little to do with writing skills. Don’t get me wrong, it needs to be well written, but subject and execution is what’s most important.

Add more safeties because of your financial need. One you get past the top schools, packages can vary greatly. You are in a very competitive pool coming from NJ.

Well by essay I just meant if I’m on the edge and need a great essay to puch me over then I think I can provide.

And yeah I know I need more safeties, any suggestions?

Also what do you mean “coming from NJ”? I thought most schools didn’t even consider region?

Thanks

What should we say? I think you’ll be in at nearly all the non-ivies. I dont know about Princeton (you could get in) and it depends to which college you’re applying to at Penn. If you’re applying to Wharton…I don’t know…if you apply to nursing…you’re in lol.

G-town is for you:)
