So...what did Santa bring??

Got to have Christmas Eve dinner with new SIL (D was working) and went to his church for Midnight Mass - beautiful! Will get to see D tonight for dinner. For us, it’s all about time together - H, S, D, SIL, and me. We really enjoy our time together. Haven’t opened presents yet… but I think I’m getting some new dog walking boots. That will be great. Best gift would be news that I’ll be a grandparent in 2016.

Hannukah Harry brought a new laptop too, but its downstairs and I am upstairs… and being lazy…

And, I got a call from DS#2’s gf thanking me for her xmas gifts! That was a nice gift!

Holy Marbury! It looks like the neighbors’ kids got a drone for Christmas. Guess what Mr. will be getting for Easter?

Was shocked that S gave me an iPhone 6s! I hadn’t planned to get one but love the better camera.

Wonder how you can check if they registered it-- maybe you can be a whistleblower and get a reward!

Oh, and Santa brought round 1 of chinese food for lunch. About to go for round 2 for dinner.

Mom4 that’s awesome!!! we’ll hope for all best outcomes and lots of good days ahead!!

DH gave me a membership for online fitness coaching  Plus, they did not complain when I cried about 4 times today, out of stress, exhaustion, joy, …you know the drill. My kids are awesome — they moved home for 36 hours and let me feed them and ask nosy questions.

I belong to a Facebook page for our local town and someone posted, “My kid got a drone for Christmas (16 y/o) and it went too high and too fast, and crashed.” She was hoping it ended up in someone’s tree or backyard in our neighborhood. Of course, a Scrooge had to post his opinions on what an invasion of privacy they are, and how no one should have one. Then the OP came back and said the drone had no camera on it; it’s basically like a remote-control airplane. Scrooge hasn’t come back to apologize… geez!

The one thing I got that I wish I could try out now is my new hiking poles! I’ve never had hiking poles before. I have to say that was basically genius from H, who rarely pays attention whenever I say, “Oh, I wish I had _______.” And after getting a new ring for Christmas last year as an upgrade to my original engagement set (which went to D2’s SO, who had it made into an engagement ring for her, which she got two weeks ago, unknowingly that it was my original diamond), I got the band for it today, so as D1 says, “People will know you’re married now and not think you’re just engaged!” (because, well, yea, I was really worried about that!).

Teri, you will loooove hiking poles! I was glad we had them when we hiked in Kauai.

Did you get the lightweight, folding ones? They are Soo cool!

Yes! They will be so easy to pack in my suitcase… now it makes me want to plan our big trip for 2016! I wonder if having them when we’re on some of the dicier trails will make me feel more secure and less fearful of some the heights (but let’s face it; no pole that doesn’t have magical powers is going to make me feel less afraid on some trails I’ve seen).

My DIL loves hers (though maybe she is just saying that b/c I bought them for her ;). )

Teri, you are now ready for the Kalalau Trail. B-) Hiking in Kauai is magical. I highly recommend!

LOL… I’ve now seen my second Facebook post from someone reporting a lost drone that someone got for Christmas! Anyone think there’s a business to be started out there? Drone recovery?
