Ok…I will start because I think everyone needs a good laugh. Santa brought me two pairs of pajamas (which I really don’t need, but they are nice), and a new DustBuster…no kidding. I also got the latest Sue Grafton book.
I asked Santa for a new laptop…which I will go buy myself on Monday.
I woke up very rested - slept like a baby on our new Tempur mattress from Costco. Best Christmas gift ever! Mr. conceded that our 16 yr old mattress was crap. 
Still lounging in bed… will look under the tree soon.
Duffle bag to store the Xmas tree in, book by Jeffrey Toobin (Supreme Court guru), bakery box from Zingerman’s :D, and a Taza chocolate sampler. And I bought myself a new workout jacket at Title Nine yesterday.
Funny, but I never ever wanted one of those carousels to store K cups. But I loaded it up and it beats digging for a box in the cabinet. And I’ve spun it a few times. Santa somehow knew.
When D1 was pulling out decorations, she found a pair of socks I was given last year and had forgotten about. We laughed and I told her to regift them to me. “Ooh, fuzzy socks!”
We gifted ourselves a new big tv with new service for tv and internet so very little to open this am, which is very
fine.
My favorite is this year’s edition of our tree ornament exchange. DH found a perfect zombie figure from walking dead. I love it and the show (so sad I know). It makes me happy since he HATES the show!
Girls and I came back to the apartment to open our gifts.
D1 got me a very nice cashmere blanket. D2 got me a facial and two Bobbi Brown lip gloss.
From secret santa I got a cashmere sweater, and some nice lotions from white elephant.
I didn’t get anything I didn’t really want, very happy with everything I got. No standing in line for returns this year.
Typing this on my new nexus 9 tablet which I picked out. D gave me a really great pair of Frye boots that I adore!
One of s’s gifts is a Bernie Sanders lawn sign. I’m not a fervent supporter (s is) but we always laughingly threaten to put such a sign down in the corner of out yard, near the boundary of our neighbor who just happens to be the republican first selectman. Hee hee hee …

Dogs got lots of treats, a kit to make doggie biscuits and toys with Naughty on one and Nice on the other.
S got his gifts (microwave, wooden salad bowl & salad tongs) at Thanksgiving.
I’m sitting in my new Costco mesh chair like I use at work and desperately needed for my home office space. It’s so comfortable! Thank you H! My kids went in on a sewing machine and accessories for me. I got H a motion-activated Darth Vader that stands 4 feet tall (don’t ask). He is thrilled. Big hit for my older kiddos was the gift certificate for the “escape room” adventure, youngest is happiest with her old-fashioned bonnet hair dryer. I don’t understand, but she’s already planning how she will set her hair.
S earned admission / merit award
We had a Jewish Christmas miracle yesterday. DH is fighting cancer and has been trying for the last month to get a brand new treatment approved. Approval came yesterday morning and medicine arrives next week.

I got a gift card for a massage (which will be welcome after entertaining my H’s extended family this afternoon) and a thoughtful gift basket (mug, book, etc.) that I will cherish from my two young adult kids who have little extra money and all the best intentions.

My husband secretly had a beautiful quilt made for me to replace one I’ve had for years, with beautiful butterflies and hearts embroidered on it and in my favorite colors. So sweet and thoughtful!

I don’t know yet what Santa brought. On our way to dinner and we will find out!
Mr. got a macro lens for his lunar eclipse Canon, baby kiddo got a pair of Ugg sneakers and Lulu leggings, and I got a lovely Starbucks mug for my desk that will hold enough coffee to let me slog through some unreadable stuff. 
Big kiddo is getting a Lulu bag full of Lulu stuff, and her hubby is getting a gift card to REI.
