So, what do I do?

<p>I’m currently at a CC and have applied for a Award for next school year. I believe that I have an excellent chance at being chosen for this $5000 award. I’m also applying for other scholarships and awards. </p>

<p>I’ve already spoken to my CC’s FinAid department about what to do in terms of notifying them if I am chosen for the award, as I’m going to continue attending that school if I’m not accepted for admission elsewhere. </p>

<p>However, I am wondering how LAC’s and Universities deal with outside scholarships and awards. Do I let FinAid know when I apply that I am under consideration or do I wait until I find out that I’ve been chosen as a reciepient?</p>
