<p>I’ve heard lots about Wesleyan assessing students “holistically” with more of an emphasis on essays and ECs than grades and test scores (though of course the latter two are still very important). What exactly are they looking for in these essays/ECs that would give someone with, say…a 4.0 W GPA (3.5 UW) a better chance of admission?</p>

<p>Passionate/unique aspects to your essay. Essays that have a very present personality shining through.</p>
