<p>Although it doesn’t relate to Stony Brook specifically, but would it affect our financial aid packet for Fall 07-Spring 08 semesters? They say Long Island is getting less Financial Aid. if you look at the chart it tells some thing. How ever I’m not sure if they meant Long Island like Nassau County Community College etc, and SUNY is an exception…</p>

<p>eva–this article is not in relation to NYState Colleges or Universities. It is in regards to funding k-12 education. </p>

<p>From what I have heard, the governor is committed to fund the universities, especially north of the city where it can help the economy there.</p>

<p>Yeah, I wouldn’t worry too much about financial aid in the SUNY system. The money’s definitely there, and the system as a whole has a very strong lobby in Albany, so we usually get what we need.</p>
