So when do we start signing up for classes?

I dont see it in the to-do list.
Any info?
kinda wanna do it as quick as possible to get into classes I want
it’s first come first serve basis right?

The signing up for classes begins more towards the summer.

Sometime during the summer you will receive an email from your new advisor, who will help you set up your Freshman year schedule so as to meet the requirements to graduate, and lead you towards your proposed major.

Most Freshman will be in a wide range of massive introductory classes with well over 50+ students, so I would not be too woried about getting into classes. You will start having to worry about that when you move from introductory classes to more advanced ones/electives. The only advantage you may get in signing up early is that you might be able to sign up for a class later in the day, as opposed to that same class at 8 AM.

august .

^August seems a little late since orientation is August 20th. I may be wrong but I would expect July, so you have time to do some back and forth (very slowly) with your advisor.

For Arts & Science, you sign up for classes during orientation week. The other colleges might do it differently.

That is, unless things changed since my year.

^We were told differently at Cornell days.

Last year, the system changed so that freshmen were able to sign up for classes online over the summer. We enrolled sometime in July, although the date may have changed.

Pre-enroll for fall isn’t open to freshmen…you’ll do your course enroll during the add/drop period before school starts.
