Not sure if this program has a name but that is what it said in the email. Pitt has a program specifically for different fields on different days to learn more about Pitt. I can’t go on the date listed, do they have these at other times in the year too? Is there one in the fall?
These are held in the summer, but I believe general tours are held in the fall as well. I would contact the admissions office about fall visit options.
@Classof2017, We do offer Fall Open Houses! While we don’t have these events broken down into specific fields of study, there will be representatives from the various schools you can meet while on campus: https://oafa.pitt.edu/visit/open-houses/picture-yourself-at-pitt/
We also offer daily visit options. You can come in for an admissions info session and a tour, and while you are here (depending on what day you come) you could have the option to visit the academic school you are interested in or even sample a class: https://oafa.pitt.edu/visit/daily-visit-options/
If you have questions about planning your visit to Pitt, you can always feel free to contact our Visit Center: 412-624-7717 or visitctr@pitt.edu.

I am signed up for the “so you want to be an engineer” tour on July 22 and was wondering if there will be applications available if I were to want to apply there. I was told that the $45 fee will be waived if I apply there. If this is true what all should I bring with me. For example, should I have my short answers written or teacher recommendations?
When we went to the “So you want to be a pharmacist…” event in 2014 they did offer the opportunity to apply during he visit.
I think they said scores and transcript can be sent later, you are just starting the online part of the application.
Last year the short answer questions were emailed after application was submitted.
You could ask about the LOR.
@lukek15, There will not be paper applications available at the program, but you will receive a fee waiver which you can use when applying online. We do not require any recommendations, your Short Answer Question responses are sufficient for the Admissions Committee. There is a spot for you to enter those responses on the online application.
Hope that helps clarify!
