<p>ok so i just deferred from gtown early action and im super bummed.
i also applied early to bc and although gtown was my number one i stilll really really like bc. i am just trying to make myself feel better right now cuz i really dont want 2 deferrals/ basically rejections right before the holidays. so i was just wondering if you could give your opinion on my chances. i dont want to be one of the annoying chance me threads, but i really need some assurance or maybe a little lowering my hope before the letter comes sometime this next week.

Extracurriculars: Spanish honor society, national honor society, soccer, biotechnology advisory board
Job/Work Experience: Same job at local pizza place for 2 years.
Volunteer/Community service: some, not alot
Summer Activities: COSMOS (a math and science summer school program thru the u of california schools. at UCsantacruz, studied chemistry)-last summer. Spanish immersion thing in Spain for 2 weeks
Essays: good imo. about getting lost in spain alone when i was there for my homestay and how i grew from that and how it “changed” me
Teacher Rec: good. one teacher loves me so its bound to be stellar, the other one i have no clue but ithink she really likes me. (ap eng lang and ap enviro teachers)
Counselor Rec: no idea didnt get to see any of my letters, but pretty generic as 200 kids are getting them, but i did turn in the info packet like 3rd, so she could take more time on it.

<p>You have a great shot in my opinion. I dont think anyone is a “definate in” but your scores our above all the middle 50% ranges and you seem to have well rounded character. The only part that i find slightly less strong is the seeming lack of EC’s but that might be just me. Also your from california which is a boost. I’d say its a very strong possibilty. Hope that helps…</p>

<p>oh yeah i think you have an excellent chance at BC. BC is a really good school, and you will love it there if you get admitted and decide to attend(which you should=])… so don’t get bummed out over Georgetown.</p>
